Severe weather ends session prematurely
The members of the council decided to end the recent meeting of the Dernbach municipal council prematurely. The reason for this was a power outage caused by the storm on August 19. Until then, several items on the agenda had been discussed and decided upon. At the beginning, Sebastian Hausen was appointed as a successor to the municipal council. Subsequently, the re-election of various committee mandates was on the agenda. This involved the main and financial committee, the committee for the business park and the construction committee, including the respective delegates. Budget under pressure, important projects on the agenda
In the recent Council meeting, several important topics were on the agenda: the 2026 budget, the forestry plan and the fight against the Hercules dam. It became clear that the financial leeway of the local community was becoming narrower. The budget had already been discussed in the main and financial committee in advance. Manuel commented on the budget that both levies and personnel costs have increased by around 100,000 euros each. As a result, the financial situation continues to deteriorate and the municipality will also have to deal with an improvement in the revenue situation in the future. Together for Dernbach is made up of local citizens who care about the welfare and interests of all dervishes. The aim is to provide a liveable village with a family-friendly environment and a strong community. In addition to new ideas for citizen-oriented projects, this also requires people who want to actively work on their implementation.
